Yesterday it was warm and Miss Three And A Half was searching for some shorts. The supply was a little light on, with only a few hand-me-down pairs available, all of which were on the line.
So we grabbed a pair of jeans almost worn out at the knees, lopped off the bottoms, folded up the cuffs, ran a few stitches on the sides, and now Miss Three And A Half has a new favourite pair of denim shorts that she wears, hoping everyone will notice.
The way I see it, only a few more wears of those jeans would have seen the knees give way, and it isn't like she'll fit into them next season anyway.
Oh - and the photo makes the hemline look uneven, but it's just the way she's standing.
Cool! I have a couple of pairs in the same boat - I tried cute fabric patches under the tears, but Dan keeps putting is toes through them! Will have to cut them off also...
