Christmas Ornament Production Line

Last year we largely dispensed with giving out cards at Christmas time - particularly for friends of the girls. We now choose to make ornaments instead. It has been great fun - and it also means that apart from supervision, I don't have to do much at all!

Miss Two has finished hers (top right) and gone off to watch a DVD. Miss Six, who has quite a number more to do that Miss Two, is still going as I type (and singing along with the Hallelujah Chorus that is playing on my computer). You can see her work on the top left.

All we use are some pre-cut shapes from Riot and decorate them with all manner of festive fluffy, sparkly and sprinkly things. I tie a piece of ribbon to the top as a hanger and away they go, ready to adorn someone's Christmas tree.

Oh - and please ignore the mess under my craft desk (that used to be our dining table before being relocated into my craft room). And note also the dress Miss Six is wearing - bought at an op-shop as a ladies' size 10, but most definitely perfect for a girl who wears size 8! I know - the navy coloured school uniform hair ties don't quite go with the dress, but in three days time we can pack those away until February 1st!

  1. Great idea - ornaments instead of cards!

  2. We use to make ornaments or some other little item for family at Christmas time. Then it got all too much because we'd go overboard with them (as in what they actually were, not necessarily how many of them there were).

I love Christmas crafts though. Well done girls!
