My Creative Space

I have a good friend who loves butterflies...so I couldn't resist putting together some Japanese fabric that matched her home decor with a leftover Silk Dupion swatch from my wedding dress (that was made 14+ years ago) to create this little wall hanging for her.

She has hung it in the hallway at her house so "I get to see it on my first journey out in the morning...butterflies are good for the soul."

It was done in time for her recent birthday, although I have wanted to make it for her for a number of months now and would have given it to her at any time, just because.

I call it: "Amanda's Meandering Butterflies".

And it's something else I can add to my "finished" list that seems to be increasing since Christmas.

What's happening in your Creative Space this week? I hope you'll let us all know by dropping by at kootoyoo's place.

  5. Thanks, ladies. This was one of those projects I just *had* to do. I'm now wondering how the butterfly wings might be modified to become fairy wings for a little something for Miss Six's wall!
